2. What this policy covers
This policy describes how we handle data when you visit this website. The Pulita application works differently and is described separately in section 7.
3. Visiting this website
This website is static. It sets no cookies. It contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no social media plugins. All fonts, styles, scripts and images are served from our own domain, so visiting a page does not send a request to any third party other than our hosting provider.
Our hosting provider automatically processes technical connection data:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- the page requested and the HTTP status returned
- browser type and version, operating system
- the page you came from, if any
Purpose: delivering the website, keeping it secure and defending against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website.
Storage: we have not enabled request log retention, and our hosting provider does not retain HTTP request logs for our plan by default. Connection data is processed only transiently in order to deliver and secure the website. It is not combined with other data and is not used to identify you.
4. Hosting and transfer outside the EU
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, acting as our processor under a data processing agreement. Data may be processed in countries outside the European Economic Area. The transfer is based on the safeguards set out in Chapter V GDPR: Cloudflare's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, supplemented by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Cloudflare's own privacy policy is available at www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ (opens in a new tab).
5. Contacting us
If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer you.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a contract or a product you use, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Storage: for as long as needed to deal with your request, and longer where statutory retention periods apply.
6. No profiling
We do not use your data for profiling and we make no automated decisions that affect you.
7. The Pulita application
Pulita runs on your own device and uses your own access key to an AI provider that you choose and pay for yourself.
- Your audio and the resulting text are sent directly from your device to that provider.
- They do not pass through any server of ours. We do not receive them, do not see them and do not store them.
- The processing at the provider is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, not by this one. Please read them before you use the application.
- Your access key is stored locally on your device in the system keychain. We never receive it.
- The application keeps no history of what you dictated.
- The application does not request the macOS Accessibility permission for normal use. Clipboard mode works without it. Automatic pasting is optional; if you turn it on, macOS asks you for the Accessibility permission, and you can withdraw it at any time in System Settings. We receive no data through it.
8. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it rectified (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), the right to data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (Art. 7(3)).
In practice, the only data we are likely to hold about you is correspondence you have sent us — the website stores nothing and the application sends us nothing. If you ask and we hold nothing, we will tell you so.
To exercise any of these rights, write to support@seleniora.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria — dsb@dsb.gv.at
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or the applicable law changes. The current version always applies and carries the date shown at the top.
